This policy explains what information ChisokonePamwela ("we", "us") collects when you use our website and marketplace at chisokonepamwela.com, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

- Account information — name, email address, and phone number when you register, provided directly by you or, if you choose, via Google Sign-In.
- Order information — products purchased, delivery details, and payment confirmation details (payments themselves are processed by our payment gateway provider; we do not store your card or mobile money PIN).
- Usage information — pages and products you view, so we can show relevant listings and keep our catalogue accurate.
- Location — only if you choose to use "Stores Near You" and grant your browser's location permission, used solely to show nearby store distances. We don't store or track this.
- Device/browser notifications — if you allow notifications, we use this to tell you about your orders and relevant site announcements.
How we use your information
- To process and deliver your orders, and communicate with you about them
- To operate your account, including order history and saved details
- To respond to support requests sent via our contact page or WhatsApp
- To send order-related and site notifications (new arrivals, order updates)
- To improve our catalogue, pricing, and store locations based on aggregate usage
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
How we use Facebook and Instagram
ChisokonePamwela maintains official Facebook and Instagram accounts to promote our products. Our system automatically publishes posts (product photos, prices, and promotional captions) to our own connected Facebook Page and Instagram Business account using Meta's Graph API.
This connection is business-to-platform only — it publishes our own marketing content about our own products. It does not use Facebook or Instagram Login for customer accounts on our site, does not read or collect any personal data belonging to Facebook or Instagram users, and does not access private messages, comments, or follower information. The only data sent to Meta is our product names, prices, and images, for the sole purpose of publishing public marketing posts.
Payments
Payments are processed through our third-party payment gateway. We receive confirmation that a payment was completed, but we do not store full card numbers, mobile money PINs, or other sensitive payment credentials on our servers.
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies/local storage to keep you signed in, remember your cart, and remember notification preferences. You can clear these at any time through your browser settings.
Data retention
We keep account and order information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to meet our legal and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data at any time (see Contact below), subject to records we're required to keep for order/tax history.
